Koh Sai Tian, Karen

Karen has served over 36 years with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) where she handled Personal Tax, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, Real Property Gains Tax and Stamp Duty. She has vast experience as a tax auditor, investigator and trainer at various Branches/ Divisions of IRBM.

Her last posting was as Director of IRBM’s Large Taxpayer Branch where she oversaw the tax affairs of domestic and international corporations, multinationals, high net worth individuals, trusts, co-operatives and various other categories of taxpayers.

Karen has been a regular speaker at various in-house and external events hosted by IRBM throughout Malaysia. She has also been invited as speaker on numerous occasions by other organisations on tax related topics.

Since retiring from IRBM, she has been very much sought after as speaker, trainer and tax advisor given her unique solution focused approach and her in-depth knowledge and experience in the various fields of taxation.

Karen graduated from University Malaya with a Bachelor of Accounting. She is also a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Fellow Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and a Registered Tax Agent. She is also a Certified Training Professional (ARTDO), Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE, Austin, Texas), Certified System Investigator (ACSI, Singapore) and Certified Financial Planner (FPAM)
